Scrappy Tray Using Heat Moldable Interfacting (with tutorial)

I haven’t, yet! I was kind of disappointed that it flopped flat in the heat (granted, it was a hot car on a sunny day in FL). But, I think that, under normal circumstances, it should maintain its shape just fine. I bet little scrappy dishes would be a perfect use for it! I also liked AIMR’s idea to make moldable 3D flowers, so I might give that a try.

I’m thinking I still want to make the leaf shape but I don’t want to keep the leaf shape. Sigh. With the off cuts, maybe little rectangular and square ring dishes like this:

I think those would look so fabulous covered in your scrappy patchwork style and make sweet little gifts. It does get hot here in the summer but who is going to be taking their ring bowl outside, right?

I honestly don’t thing regular summer heat would cause them to flop (how hot does an iron get?). Most definitely, leaving it in the car was a terrible idea.

I can’t wait to see how yours turn out! That shape is would work perfectly, too!
