Mine was received already so I’d say it’s a definite yes from me :joy:.

I’ll ship on time. I’m slowwwwwwlllly painting. I have to let sections dry fully or I’m going to smudge it. Hah. Getting closer though. Hoping to finish the painting by Thursday or Friday so I can varnish, then let dry for a day or two…then pack up and send probably on the final day.

Just an FYI for everyone -
The U.S. Postal Service will implement its first-ever fuel surcharge, an 8% increase on select package services, starting April 26, 2026, through January 17, 2027.

Picking up stuff from the kiln tonight, so unless something went horribly wrong that shouldn’t be a problem.

I’m SOOOOO interested in cold porcelain!! I wouldn’t try to make it myself but I think you can buy it pre made? I’m intrigued by it’s flexibility and level of detail you can achieve. I’m curious to hear from anyone who’s tried it before.

Yes!! I will be on time! I created my thing mid March, stepped away from it for a bit and returned to it yesterday with fresher eyes.

I also figured out my box and packing solution yesterday. I decided I should glaze it somehow cuz my thing is a bit fragile.. :grimacing: tested out some glazes last night and now leaving work.. going to check on it later.

I just need to glaze, pack and ship!

I should be able to ship on time. Gonna try to get some painting done tonight and see what the added elements should be.

I have leftover paperclay now but I don’t think I’ll be making things routinely after this. I spend too much time repairing drywall in my house to want to do more sanding and shaping joint compound

Yes!! I meant to send out yesterday but totally didn’t pack it on time to get picked up (and I also might try to take a few better photos today). Definitely before the end of the week, but likely by tomorrow at the latest!

I’m on the edge of being on time and not on time. It’s one thing after another in my house. The main is done, but I wanted to add some more to it to make the theme really clear.

So it will depend on how long it dries after that and sealing it after that. I think 8 days is a bit tight but maybe it’s just right. I won’t flake in any case, I promise. :purple_heart:

Eeeps! I sent today. Now, the waiting to make sure it arrived in one piece starts!

Hmm do you guys think using craft moss is a bad idea if I’m shipping from Canada to the US?

Does it count as plant material?

Not sure, but maybe don’t risk it? I’m always wary of anything that can be considered an issue as the post service is bonkers here at the moment.

Just finished sealing/ glazing my thing.. my first time glazing a sculpture and there’s something so final and also satisfying about it.

Here’s a sneaky peek featuring leftover glaze and mysterious bits and bobs.

I think I got swap due dates mixed up. I was just panicking I had to get my sculpture out the 10th lol. So glad I’ve got a few more days!

Aha! Well, if we’re posting teasers, here’s my pallette after tonight’s painting marathon. This is for both sculptures, so who knows what’s what?

Agreed. Glazing made such a difference. It felt really finished with it.

@chameleonhound I like the idea of the paint tray being the teaser! I might have to copy that :joy:

My piece is almost finished drying after I added some more things to it. I was worried they wouldn’t stick, but they did.

I’m hoping to get my paints out and paint it today. Or make another air dry piece for my partner’s daughter. (How could I not when I saw she likes one of my favorite anime/manga?!) :joy:

All the discussion is giving me serious swap anxiety. I hope I didn’t go too simple :grimacing: I’m really happy with what I made though!
