I made this sea turtle for @Tapestry in a personal swap earlier this year and realized I never posted it! I used a tutorial from Lachri over on YouTube and did trace the general shape of the sea turtle and features so I could focus on the fun bits 
I used pan pastel for the background and to block in the colors then colored pencil and pastel pencil for all the details.
He came out super cute and I had a hard time parting with it

He looks so soft and dreamy! I have a bunch of pan pastels I got years ago. I need to dig those out and play around with them a bit more! I know I’d never be able to come close to something this amazing, however.
What type of colored pencils did you use? Prismacolors?
You should! I bet you could make something gorgeous with them!
Polychromos, Caran d’Ache Luminance, and Derwent Lightfast. I found out that like 2/3 of prismacolors aren’t lightfast so I switched to other brands.
