I decided that while I enjoy swapping a lot, I just can’t fit them in my life right now. So, in order to make things for others without any deadlines, I decided to do random drawings in the 50 Projects thread and then make something for the winners!
The first drawing was for @sheepBlue . (sheep #1) I had the perfect fabric in my stash! (sheep #2). And, she is going to use it as a project bag for her knit sweaters! (sheep #3).
This is from a tutorial that @Manders posted in December and that I absolutely fell in love with. This is my fifth bag using this pattern with many more to come!
Can you list the dimensions you used to make it this big? Math is not something I’m good at so I didn’t know how to size it up.
It looks awesome by the way!

I like my knitting project bags to be squatty so that a hank of yarn can fit in without getting bunched up. I cut out all the main pieces, the lining and the drawstring part 17x13. I boxed the corners 3 inches so the bag ended up being about 10 inches tall. I still followed the tutorial, just made it bigger around and more boxy.
I do have ideas for a much smaller one as well to hold a single ball of sock yarn. The hardest part of the pattern is doing that topstitching around the opening, so the smaller the bag, the harder it would be. I don’t think it is needed really.
That is the absolute perfect fabric for her! Love that you are still making for others. Deadlines can be tough, but they really motivate me. This si sa great bag pattern. I might have to give a whirl!
