This bookmark started as me playing with watercolor monoprints and morphed into a swap item for @Jemimah in the Positive Affirmations Swap.
It’s watercolor, gouache, acrylic ink, gold ink, colored pencil, and cut paper. Lots and lots of layers. The bird sort of just happened, emerging from brushstrokes as though it was always meant to be there.
I don’t have in process pics other than these two sadly.

You have a real knack for placing highlights here and there that really transform the drawing from flat and static to something far more dynamic that pops off the page! What a lovely transformation from the original monoprint to the end product.
