Simple Baby Blanket!

I have a cousin who just had a baby and I thought it might be nice if I made a quick baby blanket! I looked through my stash and found some cute pinks and yellows. The pattern is from a fat quarter project book. The quilt in the book ends up a lap size but I made mine a bit smaller. I didn’t want to do proper binding (because that felt like a lot of work) so instead I did a stitch and flip with the top and backing. The backing is actually a blanket that I bought at target for 8 bucks.

I tried to pick colors that went together well. I really liked the lemon and pink print.

Thank you! It’s pretty nice!

My mom knows a lady who will buy blankets in the size she makes quilts and takes them to the quilters for her backing. And it’s pretty smart as long as they are willing to quilt it.
