Skellie Hands Print Comfort Pants

I almost can’t resist a juvenile Halloween printed knit for making “comfort pants” for TheMisterT. So, when they went on sale, I picked this skeleton hand gesture print.

Pockets are a must for him and this pattern has slit pockets.

He likes something in the front so he can find the front to dress in the dark. This pattern calls for a non-functional drawstring. I have made this pattern at least 9 times and never bothered with it, so button it is!

I used Simplicity 8268. The pattern also calls for using ribbing for the waist casing and ankle bands, but most of the time I just use the same stretch knit as the pants.

Nice! I like the fabric pattern and your button solution (way better than an aesthetic-only drawstring!).

Thank you! Yeah, they have you making button holes in ribbing, for crying out loud! Just for a decorative string on the causualest of pants!
