I’m having problems with round 6 of the head. Round 5: 1 sc in each stitch around (24 sts)

Round 6: sc2tog in first 2 stitches, 1 sc in next stitch, repeat around (18 sts)

I only have 16 stitches at the end of row 6. What am I doing wrong?
