I made these crocheted coasters for jemimah in the Positive Affirmations swap. I knew I wanted to crochet something, even if it can be tricky to fit in words on something small.
My solution was to take inspiration from the quote I chose. I wanted something like a winding path or waterway to represent the journey.
These were fun to make, but the pattern was not great. The written pattern left out some key details, so I had to watch the linked youtube video to get what was missing. Luckily I did check the video once I figured that the written pattern and pictures didn’t seem to match.
It’s still a fun technique, just go to the video to see the placement of the marker and you’ll be good to go.
I used thinner yarn and a 3 mm hook. The dark blue is probably Catona or Catania (100% cotton) while the light blue is a mystery cotton or cotton blend in a similar thickness.
