Splatter Horse

My goal for this project was to use every single color of paint I had in my collection. :art: We have it on display in our messy art room.

I brushed the background first to create a marble effect. Then I used chalk to create the outline of the horse as a guide.

The body of the horse was created with a palette knife, and then I used watered down paint + a blow dryer to create the splatter mane.

I love how the metallic paints catch the sunlight at certain times of the day.

Cool technique, and I like how you placed the horse with room beyond its nose. It’s galloping, and needs the space so it doesn’t crash into the edge.

Beautiful! I love that you used every color. I would have gotten hung up on that. It really is stunning. I like the choice of the horse running too. Lots of movement, strength, and freedom!
