Looks like I’ll be posting first!
I received from @chrmisha
She sent this very cool steam punk dragon hair barrette. I love dragons and hair barrettes so it’s definitely a good match up for me!
This plastic canvas flamingo is so colorful I love her.

She also sent me this lovely necklace with one of my favorite Bible verses on it.

Thank you for swapping with me!
I can’t believe I missed the first gallery post.
Looks amazing and extremely well made
Hiii! I received from @Kwality570 yesterday in record time (2 days!!), but I think it helps we’re in neighboring states. Anyway, this package was Such. A. Treat.
First, here’s a picture of my happy mail - everything wrapped in spring-y yellow tissue paper. (Poor picture because I was in my car. Had to open it right away when my son was playing at the park. haha)
The first item I unwrapped was this beautiful container. I had cutesy containers on my list and a link to my Pinterest page. She totally nailed the vibe. Look at those two wee mushrooms!
Next, I opened these cards! I’m always looking to grow my stationery and these are dreamy and beautiful. @Kwality570 - Are they handmade?? They’re so perfect!
Next up - mushroom magnet! I had magnets on my list and I’m always a mushroom fan. Look at this!!! The plants, the starry sky, the mushroom! (@Kwality570 I am so curious - what are the teeny weeny silver balls?! Is it like a glitter craft supply?)
And now for the grand finale…a zipper bag!
I love the fabric, and look at how good she is! So clean, not like my sewing at all. Haha
Now, it’s slightly larger than a normal zipper bag because I had “a zipper bag that would hold a sock knitting project,” so let’s take a look inside…SOCK YARN!
And this beautiful spring-y sock yarn isn’t just any ol’ sock yarn - @Kwality570 hand dyed it! It even has little specks and color variation to remind you of spring flowers.
Here’s everything all together:
And here’s the magnet, already on my fridge - next to another favorite magnet of mine! Someone made it for me in a swap (but I can’t remember who). Whoever it was, claim your beautiful work!
That’s all, folks! @Kwality570, thank you SO much for everything. I really loved it all and I’m glad we could be partners again. Thank you!!
(Now everyone go tell @Kwality570 how amazing she is…)
Ohh my you are one lucky swapper!! That package is divine!
What a beautiful and coordinated package! Lovely work, as usual, @Kwality570!
I told her I was going to send her a couple extras and it seems she did as well!
This gallery is shaping up to be amazing! That barrette is wonderful @chrmisha! And the magnet and yarn are gorgeous @Kwality570 !
WOW!!! @Kwality570 has set an incredibly high bar (partner, be warned, my package probably only comes about half way up to that bar, lol). Kwality, did you make that mushroom cup??? I need details, it’s gorgeous!! That little mushroom magnet is so cute. What a great use of various materials. More details needed here too . And that bag? Okay, to be completely honest, I am impressed by every single thing in this package!
I recognize a few other things in this post - Rifle Paper Co! I’ve been eyeing one of their fabrics that I have to have. Please tell me you made those cards using their prints and you plan on creating a tutorial to show the rest of us how to create such beauties . I also happen to recognize that magnet as I received a very similar pin in a swap. It is also one of my favorites and created by a crafter who is well known for their amazing work!!
I received the most amazing swap package from @Tapestry today!
That was really fast!
On to the pictures
Sour carrot candies, some really cool diamond window stickers that my daughter already claimed, the cutest needle felted hoopla, an amazingly detailed bunny water color and fun Easter socks.
She also added a wonderful note in a beautiful Handpainted card
Thank you so much
I love everything!
The watercolor bunny is gorgeous, such detail! The felted scene is also very cute. Great job!
Wow, that was really fast! I’m so glad you liked everything and hope you got some of the candy!
Yes, that was a truly wonderful package. And the candy was great everyone loved it and it’s already gone.
The hoop quickly found it’s place in the tree lamp over my couch:
Ummmm that is the coolest light ever and I’m honored to have my little hoopla be part of it!
Maybe I should create a post for that. It was the first craft I did after I moved out of my ex-husband’s house. So it’s kind of special to me.
I received the most amazing package from @Whistlefish on Friday. I was oohing and aahing the whole time I was opening this spectacular package. She said she had some extras to send along with the package, so it’s a big one with lots of goodies!
Behold the amazingness!
The whole package unwrapped:
The thing on the top of the box is a wind up butterfly that flew out of the box when I opened it! I giggled after the inital shock!
The big item in the package was this amazing bunny scene in cross stitch in the coolest gold frame. She added magnets on the back so I can put it on the fridge!!! Look how delicate and sweet they are!!!
Next up was two amazing zipper pouches with monarch butterflies, lady bugs, and oranges. The little white tassels are so cute! I’m going to add them to my work computer bag ASAP!
Check out this adorable flower mini hoop that she added a pin to the back to turn it into a little brooch!
The sweetest little felt bunny and carrot were sent along as extras. The colors are perfect and the stitches are superb:
Look at these extra paper goodies and stickers:
She sent everything in this cutie patootie tulip plastic case. I might store some travel art stuff in there to keep together for on-the-go art at crafternoons with my friends. It even has a handle! She also included my favorite candy - Cadbury Mini Eggs. They’re sooo good. I had to do everything not to eat them all this weekend.
And the purchased item are these amazing ceramic strawberry measuring spoons. Aren’t they the best! We just repainted our kitchen a very pretty pale green and these will look great hanging up on a hook! Now to just find a good spot for them!
It was something I made for you in a previous swap! I love that they’re living together!!!
Yes! I made them using an envelope punch board. You basically cut the paper down to size and then punch and score to make an envelope! They’re super fun to play around with. I’ve made lots of envelopes over the years with mine using gelli printed papers and other printed papers.
The background looked too plain and I’d already glued everything down at the end, so I tried to add lots of different things to make it not super busy but give it a little pizzaz. I ended up using the silver balls which are, after looking at the package, called glass microbeads. I actually got a whole pack of different colored ones on the old site ages ago in the shop the swap! I think it’s the first time I’ve ever used them! I thought they looked kind of like spring showers.
I did not make the cup. It was a random impulse purchase at a local greenhouse! I saw it and knew it would be perfect to send along with this spring swap!!!
I made the little mushroom out of bakeable clay, painted it, and added it to a wooden circle. I bought some plastic greenery from the store and chopped the little leaves off and hot glued them underneath to look like land. I planned to use a mix of the plastic leaves and moss, but I liked how it was turning out.
Oh my goodness! I also love Rifle Paper Company stuff! Especially with the gorgeous gold accents. Funny story about the paper. I was shopping with my husband at this crazy discount store that basically buys pallets of clearance items from other stores. It’s a hodgepodge and you never know what you’re going to get. The place is called B&G Discount here in Michigan and the place is so random they even have a whole room devoted to tarps and gloves of all types and sizes. Well, we were there and I was looking at stuff and I saw a set of 24 Rifle Paper Company Paper Placemats. There wasn’t a price on them at all but they were gorgeous and I knew I could make a fun papercraft out of them, so I grabbed them. I mentioned at the register that it didn’t have a price and it was the only one that I found in the store and I got the whole pack for $0.50! I fussy cut them to make the card fronts and then moved on to making the envelopes. They’re pretty thin, so I took one and added glue to it and then sandwiched another one on the back side for more durability/stability. Then I easily used the envelope punch board I mentioned above to cut them out. I’m so glad I got to use them for something fun/useable! I just looked and it doesn’t seem like they make them anymore. Who knows how old they were or where they were sold before they ended up at the most random store ever.
Thanks for asking all of the fun questions!!!
@kwality570, I have one of those envelope punch boards, but I’ve never made any envelopes as nice as yours! You did such a good job with the placement of the prints! What a lucky find with those place mats.
@chrmisha, that’s a neat looking barrette!
@Tapestry,that bunny picture is so well done! I especially like how you created the background.
@Silky_Bee, yes, please do make a post on your tree!
@whistlefish, that tiny brooch is really neat!
I received a lovely packaged from @jeanneleigh over the weekend! It was a joy to open. Everything was wrapped in such bright spring colors and my first thought upon opening it was, “ooh, what is that delightful smell?”
The extras!
I will admit, it took a lot of willpower to photograph the jelly beans before opening them . I haven’t seen Sharpies in such pastel colors before. I tried them out and the neat thing is that they can be used as markers, or as highlighters (which will come in handy for my WIPGO and Quiltalong bingo cards).
The day before receiving this package, I had made a couple of small envelopes. I have an overabundance of Christmas themed paper and was wishing for a variety of non-Christmassy papers. Well, thanks to Jeanne, my wish has been granted. This pad is full of fun papers and not a single one is Christmas themed, lol.
In my ‘wishlist,’ I had written wall decor, so Jeanne painted me this delightful little painting. I love how she continued the painting on the sides!
While opening everything else, I kept wondering what smelled so good. Well, the last package answered that question. Jeanne made me some lavender sachets! I absolutely love how they smell and I am so impressed by how thoroughly she fulfilled my ‘wishlist,’ that I filled out when answering the questionnaire. I was a bit stumped for specifics, so I listed that along with wall decor, I would like to receive - Something useful, Something that smells good, Fabric craft. I felt a little bad that I had listed such vague ideas. Well, I no longer feel bad because she took those prompts and ran with them! She made these using some fabric that she had previously dyed with indigo. I love the addition of the embroidered lavender flowers. I’ve had the sachets next to my computer since opening them and I can’t get enough of the smell!
Thank you so much, Jeanne! You really nailed the “SPRING to life” prompt and I am thankful to have been the recipient of all this springy goodness!!
