Awhile back I got a bag of silk scraps from Darn Good Yarn. They were mostly long, skinny sections, from the hems of their recycled sari skirts, so I thought I could make a few scrunchies, which are both gentle on hair, and pretty comfortable to wear. Plus they are beautiful. Somehow “a few scrunchies” became 35! I’m keeping a few for myself, but the rest will go into my gift cupboard for friends and family.
So pretty! And pretty much the perfect use for these kinds of scraps.
The smaller pieces are kinda just good for things like scrappy tassels. I might make some of those for Christmas…
These are so pretty!
Very pretty, and they’ll make such good gifts. For long-haired friends and family of every age, but I also think they’d be a great gift for teachers and the like.
The colors are gorgeous. Great idea for the scraps!
Pretty and practical! They just all look so pretty together, but I bet they will be snatched up!
You’ve given me an idea of what to do with some silk kimono scraps that I had no idea what to do with. I also like your tassels idea!
It’s so fantastic to see folks coming up with new ideas to use old silk. I especially love this variety of colors and prints!
So colorful and what a great use of scraps!
Pretty! My daughters would have these snapped up in a heartbeat!
