Statue Projector Piece

I finally finished the statue piece I’ve been working on.
It’s taken a couple of days and been giving my back a run for it’s money.
I like how it turned out and can’t waiting to do my 24x36.

Zooming in on the piece shows the incredible detail you went into making this! I love how you did your line work to make the crumbling statue look. How big is this piece?

I imagine that the larger piece is going to take quite a lot more time. It is also a sort of haunting piece…the innocence of a child but the natural decay of the statue.

Having followed your posts, you have gotten a lot of inspiration from this statue. It is a new piece each time.

She’s gorgeous!

Feel free to share some close-up shots for these, because… AMAZING.

@AIMR sorry about not mentioning the size. It’s 24x30. It didn’t take as long as I thought actually.
Also I do love the statue. It’s photogenic, makes for great black and white shots and gives me a bit of peace looking at it. I guess instead of being a crazy cat guy I’m the crazy statue guy. :man_shrugging:

It is your muse! You haven’t even explored odd angles and even color. I think the arm with the bird would be great on its own…or just the bottom/top half of her face…so many possibilities! You should be sure to take photos of your work…I still say they would make a wonderful collection of art notecards! I order those often on Etsy!

Gorgeous! It looks like it should be hanging in a gallery.

This is stunning. I definitely agree with @AIMR - the close-up shows the real love.

But the overall view is fantastic.
