I just make things I like and hope for the best. Sometimes things don’t do well and that’s ok. I made a bunch of pet bow ties last year that weren’t popular, but they were easy to gift out to people with dogs. It’s nice that it’s right before the holidays.
I only like making things of my choosing which is why I can’t really handle other swaps including personal. I hate being told what to do! lol
Personally I love ceramics and art and all the other things, but I never did stamps until @irid3sc3nt offered some hand-carved ones and now I have lots of stamps and have carved many myself.
I love that people are offering things they love and have happily claimed many items I never would have thought to ask for.
Ughhhh I’m really afraid that our fearless leader will somehow decide Hawai’i is a foreign country as far as shipping is concerned or something. I love USPS and if it goes away, we’re all in big trouble.
This is true. I send cards in the mail every month, if only just for birthdays. A private company owning USPS would undoubtedly make it cost-prohibitive.
tossing this out there in case any sewists can make such for STS:
(with or without the elastic band would be fine with me – I just need to corral all of these pens & sharpies I seem to have collected so I can organize my drawing stuff a bit better)
I have purchased a few zip pouches lately for traveling. I can’t fit everything into my toiletry bag😆 Ooo, and palm-sized bowls or mostly flat ones that have a little bit of a lip… enough to keep a bead from rolling away. They’ve been super useful for my crafting table for little bits of ephemera. The lower lip means I can see it better than in a deep bowl.
I am crocheting away at my slow ass pace, but making some progress. I really need to sit down and start sewing everything together because currently it’s a lot of dismembered doll parts.
The goldfish will be part of a 2 for 1 point section I’m planning on having with very small crocheted items (I have some unfinished pears too, but couldn’t find them to photograph right now).
I need to clean off my work table so it’s not so chaotic. Then I think I can start sewing everything together without triggering crippling adhd symptoms.
I have a grandnephew due in December so at some point I’ll need to switch over to a baby blanket and stuffie.
