Sugar cookie recipe for cookie cutters/stamps

I bought these cookie cutters/stamps and on the back of the box (in poor English) was a recipe. The first time I followed it I was pleasantly surprised they held together and didn’t spread after they baked. AND they’re delish! Now I wanna buy all kinds of different stamps for cookies

They turned out nice! What exactly is edible essence? Vanilla?

I assumed some sort of extract? Vanilla, almond, lemon. I used vanilla

Cute cookies! How did you get the blue into the skull design after stamping?

After baking I sprinkled it with colored sanding sugar and brushed off the excess

These are cool! I like how much decorative detail you achieved without having to load them up with icing. Stamps for the win! The translation on that recipe is a hoot and “edible essence” is definitely a phrase that would turn into a double entendre around here! :face_with_hand_over_mouth: I agree, a kitchen scale is a super useful and wise investment.
