Sunrise landscape embroidery

I made this in the recent Grab Bag swap for the letter S. S = sunrise.

I used anywhere from 2 to 6 strands of floss mostly straight stitched with some French knots (my favorite!)

It’s a 5 or 6 inch hoop

You got an amazing amount of detail with just the straight stiches and thicker floss! Then the french knots add just the right extra texture!
