Table Gaming for aging parents

I made these sets as Christmas gifts for my parents and for my MIL. They all love table games, especially card games. But arthritis can make holding a lot of cards rather challenging. In addition, looking for a scrap paper for scorekeeping can be a pain.

My parents are AVID table game people. This is their go-to form of entertainment! Here is their set:

The holders can contain a whole lotta cards, and the notebook has graph paper, making any scorekeeping configuration easier.

Here’s the set for my MIL:

She’s not as avid about gaming so her notebook is not as thick but it’s also a dot grid for making easier scorecards.

Thanks for looking!!

Love them! They look super sophisticated with the coordinated suits and notebooks, so I’m sure they’ll be happy using them.

Thank you, friends!

What thoughtful and clever gifts! It seems harder and harder to give our parents’ generation gifts and these are really wonderful.

Fantastic idea … which I’m going to steal for my oldest grand daughter. We played Uno with her on Saturday and she ended up with more cards than her little hand could hold but this would work great!

Thanks, guys!

@Cindy I used old DVDs to make mine. I made sure to put a couple of stitches through the center (it’s 2 dvds together stitched about 3/4 of the way around- which allows cards to be slipped between the two DVDs). The stitch in the middle helps to make sure that cards don’t slip all the way in. Then there are 2 felt pockets on the inside for holding cards as well.
