I dyed the merino yarn for this project using food dye. While I have dyed wool previously with food dye, I had not used the same method. Biggest lesson learned was to create a larger loop of the yarn so that the focal color doesn’t repeat quite so often. I ended up dyeing some more yarn in just the blues to allow me to fill space where needed.
I’m glad it is done. I may do more pieces with dense embroidery, but not for a while.
Your creations always looks so organic and natural, as if plucked straight out of a magic little forrest. Simply beautiful and all the work and effort you put into each really shows.
