Teal Shelf

I swapped with @Reese52 recently for the Santa Sack Swap and I made her this little curio shelf.

After reading her questionnaire I knew I wanted to make her one, and it was listed as her medium item, but it was a relatively easy project. It would have been even easier if I had measured the slats correctly the first time. :melting_face:

I found a wooden tray at the craft store that I thought would make a great shelf. I only needed to add some slats to make the shelves.

I bought some wooden sticks at the Dollar Tree and learned how to use a hand saw for the first time. :rofl: I mutilated the pieces, except for one. (The middle piece on the shelf, it actually sticks out a bit more than the other two pieces.)

Then I bought a long slat from Home Depot and eventually cut two more that were the right size. I used wood glue to attach them and then sprayed with spray paint. :blush:

The shelf that sticks out is a FEATURE, not a flaw! Love the color

Sure doesn’t sound easy to me! Of course, I am not one to use tools like a saw either! The color is gorgeous. It will be a nice place to display all the little treasures!

@Tapestry thank you. :blush:

@Smmarrt I mean, if you insist :winking_face_with_tongue: it certainly does allow for slightly larger curios. :grin:

@AIMR if I knew what I was doing it would’ve been a breeze :joy:

@Reese52 I’m glad you like it! :purple_heart:
