Teal shirt

I hate this picture, but I love the shirt. I decided I needed some new shirts and given how much I despise shopping I decided to try making some myself. This was my first try at non-costume clothes for myself.

It’s very basic, but the fabric is really soft and its super comfy.

Here’s the pattern I used: LINK

It looks wonderful and how cool that you made it yourself!

The material looks black to me in that pic which is giving me very blue/black vs white/gold dress vibes from ages ago…

I love this! I might try to make one too.

Yeah, that’s just the awful bathroom lighting. I’ll try to add a color picture out near some sun.

Making your own shirt is awesome! It turned out great and looks comfortable.

Did you have to serge any of it?

Love that pattern! It looks so comfortable and the sleeves are what I think are a perfect length. So nice to make what you like. I see a lot of possibilities with that pattern: different colors, neutrals, lace or other trim…hope you make more now that this turned out to be successful.

I don’t have a serger, so I just stuck with a zigzag stitch.

Ok, better color picture:

I still think teal, but maybe dark green.
