Teesha Moore pocket rosary

Merry Christmas Eve, my friends!

I hit the jackpot in the Secret Santa drawing at work. Not only did I draw one of my favorite people, I also go to church with her. I knew she would like something related to her faith, but I struggled to come up with something. I landed on this idea AFTER our gift exchange, but I made it anyway. Yay, she gets an extra gift!

Like prayer beads from many religions, rosary beads are a tactile way to keep track of repetitive prayers and help draw your mind into a meditative state. I love the textured, tactile nature of Teesha Moore patches, so I thought this would make the perfect mash up.

I try to live by @Edel ‘s “Use the Good Stuff” mantra. I loaned my big vintage button collection to a teenager for a school art project. I was delighted to see that she’d used many of the flashy buttons I had in mind for this project. She used the good stuff!! The white buttons work well enough, even if they aren’t what I had in mind.
