I fell off a bit energy wise earlier this year and kind of stopped working on art stuff all together. But, I’m getting caught up now :3 This is a piece I finished earlier in the year as part of my first solo exhibition collection - The Afterglow Collection.
This piece is actually a two-piece set, with one comb (the bouquet and lanterns) and one fork (the weeping cherry sagari).
One of the things I want to explore in this collection is the idea of light and reflection. So, the lanterns were painted with a little bit of glow in the dark paint so that they glow in the dark.
I always enjoy your posts. Your work is dainty and sweet.
I love the different elements you have here, the butterflies and the lanterns. Glow in the dark paint for the lanterns sounds interesting.
