I made this Bat-Man sideshow poster artwork for an upcoming Vintage Circus themed show next month at the community art gallery. I used a scientific illustration of a bat as a reference for the bat head. I tried to included as many elements I saw on other sideshow banners. It’s watercolor and crayon per usual. I’ve chosen not to share this to facebook until after the show starts. I’m very happy with how he came out.

I love Bat-Man. First of all, bats are one of my favorite animals. And second, I love the aesthetic of circuses. He’s very dapper, by the way. Love the suit and bowtie.

What a great incarnation of your idea! Love the way you used color in the poster. The bright neon yellow & green in the center really draw attention to Bat-Man’s face.

Thank you!! I used to make comics when I was a kid and a couple times as an adult when I was stressed about work. I’ve had a few people suggest I make comics over the years, I may try again.

I’m definitely in this bandwagon! I would recommend manga/manhwa style as I think it suits your style better.

Manga was actually a big influence on my style. I used to draw in anime/manga style for a long time until I developed my own combination. The FLCL manga probably had the most influence.
