I think junk journals are extra fun when they have a theme. This is my love letter to the fictional Fox Mulder - my X-Files.
There are seven signatures, set up like tabbed file folders. The insides of the signature covers are pictures of the night skies taken from an old calendar. The pages are a combination of plain and painted mixed media paper, brown craft paper, and one-sided printable journal pages. Lots of pages are intentionally blank. There are tons of pockets, waterfall paper pads, envelopes used as bookmarks or flip-out pages, secret notes, paperclip tassels and page markers, bookmarks, tags, and cards.
It’s all pretty random, but so are most conspiracy theories and spooky mysteries. There’s lots of astronomy-themed ephemera and Americana. It’ll be a fun journal in which to document all the crazy goings-on in the world.
I couldn’t possibly share pictures of all the fun pages/inserts, but I’ll attempt to film a flip-through (if I can figure out my camera situation).
Love this to bits! X-files was my fave show as a teen (when I had to wait for new episodes and lived for those nights). Such a cool journal idea and execution. I’m sure you’ll have a blast filling this monster book!
