My hubby and I have never been shy about talking with our kids about what happens “when a Mommy and Daddy love each other very much…”
Our son and DIL decided to wait until after marriage to, um, consummate things. So even though they understood the “mechanics”, we knew some things would not be likely anticipated. I mean, we all know it’s not really like the movies, ESPECIALLY the first time, with the romantic moves, plenty of stamina, and immediate post-activity snuggles. So we had an enlightening little chat with our DIL, at her request.
Hah, that’s an adorable ATC about an often difficult subject. Both my kids react with complete horror when we talk about anything birds & bees related.

@tapestry…yeah, it is weird with parents, but none of the kids hesitated to talk with their aunt or uncle. I have to tone things down or else I am in the one in complete horror!
I just love how very specific to your family your family ATCs are and this is no exception. I am IN LOVE with how utterly stunned the bee looks! It’s going to need a moment to collect itself.
