This one took a while. I have been saying I started it over a year ago, but I just looked up my cast on post and it was in May of 2023. Almost two years ago!
The beginning was easy enough but some lace frustration stopped me for a while. I frogged and restarted the lace portion at least three (five?) times. I kept forgetting a yarn over before the center stitch on the right side and would lose a stitch every other row. I got there in the end though! I really think completing the Carbeth sweater and taking a class helped me understand my knitting better and see the mistakes. Every project helps!
Anyway, here is the finished piece. I absolutely love how it came out and I love wearing it!
I wore it out yesterday and no one complimented me on it, so I didn’t get to gush about making it, but I’m taking the fact that no one asked “Did you make that?” as a compliment, right? Sure, Abbie.
Here’s a couple more photos because Mr. Road and I did a fun photoshoot.
It’s amazing! Love the photo shoot! I am sure no one would suspect it was made at home. It looks like a great piece for the transition for transitional seasons, too. Congratulations of sticking to it until you got it right! So, so right!

Definitely a compliment when it looks like custom made! Turned out to be well fitted and beautifully knitted!
What fun to be model for a day! The pics are wonderful!
That top is drop dead gorgeous! The lace at the front is so unique and lovely. I can see why most people would assume it’s store bought because it really does look perfect.
