The evolving colours simple baby quilt

In June i got a message asking for a super simple baby quilt. For February.

Originally they asked for blues, grey, and light yellows
Then they asked if i could use some Classic Winnie the Pooh fabrics.
Then we dropped the yellow.
Then we lost Winnie.

The ask was now for simple patchwork in greys and slate blues.

Done. 80% from stash.

Simple but effective. I like the way the stitching creates diamonds and Xs and adds some visual interest.

Another lovely quilt! Even with the darker squares, the whole color palette feels light and airy. Great that the decisions were finally made, and that you were able to use stash for so much of it.

It looks great!

I’m glad they gave you lots of time since they kept changing their mind! It’s a super charming little quilt and it’s awesome that it was from all stash!

It’s lovely!
Sometimes the simplest designs and color combinations are the most beautiful.
(I hope they stopped changing their mind…)

I love it, it’s so restful. Sometimes I think that the bright colors favored in so many baby items is over stimulating…if not to the baby, but to the parents! Beautiful.
