The Last Ghostie: Leaf Pile

Last in my series of ghost pictures for spooky season. Technically I finished this one November 1st, but it was started in October so I’m still counting it.

4x6" gouache on Stonhenge black coldpress paper entitled “Leaf Pile.”

And here are process pics:

Awwww, I love how you did the translucent effect over the leaves on the bottom. This is adorable!!

I really love all of your little ghosties. Every one you post makes me (and my kids who look forward to them and love all friendly ghosts) smile. The translucency and personality are phenomenal!

super cute! and I really enjoy seeing your process! Have never worked with a black base, (other than black post-its with a white marker) – so cool!

I love how the leaves pop against the black background and how that also makes it look like this little ghosty is playing in the middle of the night. Question: to the leave crunch when I ghost plays in them?

I will now always think of this when I hear that ominous crunch of leaves in the dark. lol

I love your ghost! I really appreciate the process pics. So helpful and inspiring.

Thanks, @TheMistressT & @curiousfae!

Now I’ll also be pictuing ghosts when I hear random leaf crunching…though right now I’m more in danger from the acorn missiles the trees keep launching as I pass under!
