Ok so, I am having what I call a “forbidden movie party” (This is part of a series of forbidden movie parties I’ve had) with the movie bring The Peanut Butter Solution and I want some themed decorations and food! Lol this is a tough theme though, but I NEEDED this to be a Forbidden Movie. It’s too insane. As soon as I watched it I was like “I need a Forbidden Movie Party NOW.” The theme is peanut butter and wacky hair… Lmao. So people can come with wacky hair styles or wigs or something. This movie is VERY strange and I kind of want to kiss the makers but also slap them??? Like WHAT were they doing?
Synopsis:
This 12-year old kid goes into a “haunted house,” sees something terrible that he blocked out, and then loses all his hair. He’s bald and all the kids make fun of him. So some ghosts of homeless people come and tell him a secret recipe for hair growth formula. Except he does it wrong and it makes his hair grow so fast that within a few days his hair is like 10 feet long and it’s basically ruining his life. His weird, angry, art teacher kidnaps him and makes a sweatshop where they make weird floppy paint brushes of his hair?? And he’s like wearing a coat made of his hair??? It’s effed up. Apparently a kid’s movie? The dialogue is unnatural and strange and I keep wondering if that’s a Canadian thing somehow? It was made in Canada…
well, I think you’re def onto something with the ‘ants on a log’ - I know there are sauces that call for peanuts (I’m thinking South Asian food, which I am really not at all familiar with, but hopefully someone else in the community can assist )
what about things for the ‘forbidden food’ being things people normally don’t eat? (example - my son in elementary school made himself a Special Sandwich which he LOVED. At a parent/teacher conference, we all discussed what part of the Special Sandwich was the worst - it was strawberry jam, cheez whiz, mayo, and sweet and sour sauce (from chinese food)). So you could have things like Betrayer’s Mix (M&Ms, skittles, reece pieces all in one bowl) or things like that?
Classically, I guess it would be pomegrantes (Hades and Persophone), apples (Adam and Eve) … and that’s all I got lol
Cotton candy for crazy hair? A Thai peanut sauce dish? There are also African dishes with peanut sauce. I think there’s a peanut butter whiskey, so some kind of cocktail with that. Because, technically, alcohol is a solution.
Yeah definitely on long rice noodles!!! Like a rice vermicelli? And I love thai food. I think peanut sauce noodles is Thai food, right? Lol. It has cilantro and stuff…
