This is a low-key antique craftsmanship double-layer storage

I stumbled upon this mortise and tenon structure on an antique piece of furniture, and upon researching, I found its name to be quite beautiful as well, “Pearls and shells”. When I first started learning woodworking, I dreamed of one day creating such a piece. After about ten years of experience, I have now mastered this craft and incorporated it into various works. I have also designed some modified versions, all of which are very interesting. If you have a project you want to complete, don’t hesitate, just go for it.

I have two antique storage cases like this. They are lovely.

It is nice to see your updated and more modern one. Your joins and attention to detail indeed show your experience and craftsmanship!

Beautiful! Those joins are works of art! I like the curve in the handle as well.

Scrumptious work! And that wood looks finished so well, i want to reach through the screen and touch it.

I also have two sewing boxes like this, but I’m loving the slimmer profile of your version. Way to update a classic!! Gorgeous craftsmanship.
