I made this for @MistressJennie for the mug rug swap. I have been wanting to try the ticker tape style of quilting (even though I don’t quilt), so when she requested both rainbow and scrappy, I jumped at the opportunity! It came out sorta big. It is more like an area mug rug. Extra room for snacks, I guess!
It’s so gorgeous, I’m zooming in and looking at all the bitty fabric gems over & over again. I love the double rows of hand stitching in coordinating thread. Everything about this is Wunderbar!

I love it so much! It’s currently cheering the tea and coffee bar area of our new kitchen. The previous owners took beautiful medium oak cabinets and painted them a cold blue and grey, so it’s a literal ray of sunshine and color in here!
