Tiered Midi Skirt in Grey Double Gauze

This skirt is so ridiculously comfortable it ought to be illegal. I need another two…or ten.

I must have watched and read about a dozen tutorials on how to make tiered skirts, and they’re relatively similar, with the exception of waistbands and proportions. Ultimately, with a tape measure and a little math, I just did what I thought best.

It took me two days to iron, cut, and sew. It’s 2.5 yards of cotton double-gauze, the waistband is fully elastic, and it has in-seam pockets. The bottom hem is almost 15 feet around!

Thank you! It really is both. It’s like wearing a pair of sweatpants, but even more comfortable.

Uh, that last picture tells me this might actually be a poodle skirt.

It looks so nice and like it would be so comfortable! And super versatile depending on what you wear with it.

Really nice! Smart to include pockets, too.

I made a similar skirt this summer, but mine is not as neatly finished as yours. It is indeed as comfortable as wearing sweatpants and this kind of fabric is so nice to wear during hot weather. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of wear out of it.

Lovely!! Great color and yes, it does look so comfy! I often refer to long skirts like this as “crotchless yoga pants.”

….snd “poodle skirt” was funny!
