Now that @manders has received her swap package, I can post what I made. I was having so much fun with them and wanted to share!
Continuing my Hayao Miyazaki/ Studio Ghibli theme, the second thing I made was a Totoro bag. It started out as a “small” and then just kept getting more complex…
This project started out as a beading project, turned into a crossstitch project (omg, I forgot how long crossstitch takes!), then there were beads and then I found this super cute ceramic leaf button to go with it! If I had longer it probably would have gotten out of hand complicated as I was now on a roll with the ideas…
Bonus, everything was from my stash except for a tiny bit of the grey thread on the Totoro (which does not exactly match, so he has a wee touch of vitiligo).
Orginially I was going to make beaded earrings and I had two different Miyazaki movie themed patterns I was trying to decide between. Ultimately, though, the beads I thought I had I could not find. I found the Totoro cross stitch pattern while I was searching for beads though. (My stuff is still half packed from being in storage for a year.)
