Love the cats!
Wowzers, that looks amazing @Sleepless-Ghost! I hope you’ll make posts for all your lovelies. I’m dying to know how you made them and admire more pics.
That assemblage is awesome!
That cat pillow is so cool!
Yay! It arrived safely.![]()
I had second thoughts about the cats so many times because I just couldn’t get the eyes right.
I literally had to smoosh the pillow into a box.
Sorry about the wrinkles. I don’t know about ironing it though because the backing fabric might not like it. Steaming should be fine. But if you ever need to wash it I gave it a test wash. It was ok on delicate wash and also survived the dryer.
The backing fabric is a bolt end of some kind of upholstery fabric. It had missing patches on the front. Thats where the cats are placed. Cats are pieced together from different thrifted shirts and small fabric scraps. My local thrift store sells damaged clothes in bulk for carpet weaving and other crafts.
The envelopes and gift tags are made using an old childrens book, a damaged curtain and a cereal box. Found an awesome tutorial on YT. Paper crafting is not my friend.
I love the scrappiness of the artwork. The more I look at it the more treasures I find in it.![]()
The notebook looks awesome. How is the waxed paper made?
@geekgirl, that assemblage is wonderful! I don’t know how you find so many interesting trinkets. And that notebook! Super cool!
@Sleepless-Ghost, I am in love with the cat pillow! Having it based on @Annchen’s own cats makes it so personal. What an awesome gift! And your papercrafts look great to me.
I received an awesome package from @Annchen
She really filled the box to the max with so many wonderful goodies ![]()
First this awesome wrap bracelet. I love everything about it. Using a shoelace for the base is genius
Wrist wraps have always been my weak spot. I can’t have enough of them so this one will get lots of wear.![]()
I’m currently wearing it like this. Trying out different ways to wear it because it is so versatile ![]()
These decorated cat food tin magnets look so good. Blue one is named “War is over” and the red one “Vintage dreams”. The little tank with a flower (in the blue one) is so cute.![]()
Outsides of the magnets have beautiful knitted covers. The yarn is sun-dyed with different natural ingredients.
Some goodies for my cats(they will go crazy for these), the cutest little buttons and candies galore ![]()
Ann included an ingredients list for all of her awesome makes. She used so many different types of Trash for her items.
Thank you so much for this amazing package Ann! I love everything about it.

I love how you decided to wear it! I was thinking about adding a finger loop, but couldn’t figure out how.
And of course I had to keep you stocked with cat ”treats” ![]()
Great package! Love that wrap bracelet.
I messed with the cats the other day to show the incredible likeness. Chilla was not amused to be disturbed while napping in her secret spot ![]()
Here are my items from @jeanneleigh !
She made me a pouch for pens/markers. The boxy shape will hold a lot of markers! This was made from an old dress
And coasters made from scraps! So bright and cheery!
Thanks Jeanne!
I’ve been away from my phone/computer for a few days, so I’m just catching up on the gallery. Y’all find so many ways to turn trash into treasures!
@Annchen, I’m fascinated by that wrap bracelet. I once bought “wrappable” jewelry from a street artist, who kept showing me different ways I could wear the item I bought. Your wrist wrap reminds me of that. So cool! And the wee deer magnet is so sweet.
@jeanneleigh, those scrappy coasters are so bright and cheery. And a roomy zipper pouch is always useful. The fabric looks like tie-dye. Must have been a cool dress!
The coasters look like small quilts. Great job reusing the fabrics!
Scrap sewing is its own kind of magic I think. I would have never guessed itwas from scraps.
Good eye! I think the dress was ice-dyed by looking at the color patterns. I bought it at a craft fair probably 25 years ago and never wore it, so thought it would be better used as craft supply. The skirt of it was very full, so I still have lots of fabric to play with!
@Annchen My cats are the same.
One poses for pictures and is unbothered but the other one gives me murderous looks.
@jeanneleigh These scrappy coasters look so bright and sunny. Gotta love a mismatched set!
That pouch is so beautifully made.![]()
