I received a wonderful swap package from @Bunny1kenobi today. So excited to kick off our gallery!
First, these beautiful hand-colored gift cards. I LOVE the colors and the folk-art-inspired designs. Each one is a unique work of art.
They came in a cute little divided box that looked like it was designed just for them, but was really rescued refuse!
Next, a cute ornament:
I can’t figure out how she made this. The heart looks almost like needlepoint or cross stitch (?) But then there is a chunky, kind of shiny backing, too. I hope she’ll explain the process behind this one!
And I saved the best for last! This stunning little teacup/coffee-cup miniature garden!
You have to zoom in to appreciate all the little details: teeny flowers, a wishing well with a bitty bucket, and all sorts of vegetation. It’s so charming! My son was with me when I was unboxing everything, and he thought this was one of the coolest swap items he’d ever seen.

The little heart definitely is cross stitch but on what? A screen? It makes a nice ornament!

It looks (to me!) Like the doorway screens they sell. They velcro to door frames. I have a broken one I’ve got stashed with a dozen (now a dozen + 1) ideas to do with (but no time or oomph)

The images on the cards are actually from a Chili’s takeout bag! I thought they looked fun and colorful and perfect for little cards. The box was one I’d had for a while, but it was perfect for the cards!
The ornament is cross stitch on a bit of window screen, as y’all suspected. I have some acrylic ornaments, and I used it as a mount for the embroidery.
I’m glad you like the garden in the mug! I had so much fun with this! The well is made from an empty vial of contact lens solution and the bucket is made from the orange cap from a toy gun.

Such clever ideas! I love the cards - would never have guessed they were from a takeout bag! And the garden is super cute. We’re off to a strong start in the gallery!
