Yes! Partners ![]()
Hi, @Bunny1kenobi! Happy to be partners for this swap. Let me know if you want any more info. I was pretty open-ended on the questionnaire.

I have a few ideas brewing!
Please feel free to use your imagination when crafting for me, also. I just added a few ideas to my q in case that made things easier for my partner. ![]()
I’m debating if I should go with the first idea that popped up…
It would definitely fit a medium crafts requirements. Also it would probably be good to start with the medium one.
I often enthusiastically go with the first idea that pops into mind. And then randomly abandon it for something else, halfway through.

I acquired/gathered some supplies for my first project. We’ll see if it gets completed… or completely abandoned.
Well I’ll deal with it when it happens
I just know I have to start right away or things will never get done. Upcycling takes some time.
Hmmmm… Do I still have that old ________ kicking around somewhere? It could be a good start. Motivation to go explore in the craft room!
Went to garage sales today. I may have acquired some more potential materials…
A little sad I missed this one! Can’t wait to see the gallery
I went to a couple of thrift stores yesterday on my lunch break and was able to find a couple of things as well. Waiting for something I ordered on a second hand online store. I can’t wait to get started with this project.
I’m starting to realize that I chose a challenging thing to make but it is turning out great and I really enjoy making it. Can’t wait for it to be finished ![]()
I’m still planning and sketching. I want to go to a few thrift stores to supplement my trash stash ![]()
I had to buy something online still at a second hand market and received it yesterday. I believe I have all my items needed. Ready to start!
I have a couple of ideas kicking around and I was able to pick up a thrift item that should help. This will be fun!!
We have a rainy day, so after I make lunch I think I’ll retreat to my craft room and make a mess! I went to the library to return a book and pick up one I had reserved, so I don’t think I have to leave the house more today.
Sounds like a perfect day to craft and read!
First project going well!
Almost finished with the first item
I’m only missing one little thing and then I can close it up. I think I have to go to my local thrift shop and do some digging.
Weekly check-in question.
What is your favorite items to upcycle?
Mine are obsolete technology. I work in IT and have a surplus of these items.
Here are some examples I have upcycled in the past:
Keyboard frames
Plant or Pen holder using floppy discs
Cassette Tape Wallet
Those are so cool! Not sure I can pick a favorite… I like using odd bits of metal (tins, old jewelry, kitchen gadgets), wood (dominos, scrap wood, blocks), natural materials (shells, rocks, bark), and fibers (worn-out clothes, felted sweaters, stained tablecloths).
Examples below of tin birds, crocheted shell fragment pendant, Pepe the King Prawn (various materials), and mosaic tile necklace.
