I connected the mosaic tiles by crocheting around each one (tiny stitches using crochet thread) and then joining them with jump rings.

Old book pages are fun to use in papercraft. I love driftwood, but it’s been a while since I had some to craft with. Dismembering old toys and stuffies to create something new is also fun/challenging.

Finally! I have (too many) ideas and I’ve gathered various supplies and poked around in thrift stores without really finding ”it”. Today I picked something up to put in the recycling bin and realised it could be my starting point!

My favorite things are “found” items- random little bits that don’t really look like anything in particular but that somehow with a little tweaking become something unexpected. This seems to happen most when I’m making miniatures.

I like to recycle/upcycle almost everything that I can get my hands on 
I try to make things that are useful not just for the sake of making something but sometimes stuff happens and I make something that I have no use for.

This Labor Day weekend was super busy for me, so I wasn’t able to do much progress on my crafting. I’m hoping to be able to do more this week.
For this week’s check-in question, where is your favorite place to go thrifting? I love the Goodwill bins! For those who doesn’t know how it works, they charge you by the pound ($1.89 at my local bins). I’ve been able to find some great deals. Garage and Estate sales are a close second.

For craft supplies, I like to go to the Scrap Exchange - a local re-use center that has all kinds of stuff for sale. They also have a regular thrift store in a separate building, but I haven’t had time to visit it.
