My mum requested a pouch to hold a book, and I’ve had the Hemingway Pouch by center street quilts on my pattern todo list for ages.
If you search the # on Instagram there are many videos of the pattern designer showing the construction.
My mum’s favourite colour is purple, and I love bunnies, so I had to choose this fabric from my stash for her. The lining is also a Tula FQ, which I got at a destash market for $1!! There was just enough fabric left from the FQ to use as the green binding that can be seen on the front, but I chose a contrasting binding for the lining which you won’t really see anyway.
It turned out fantastic and I can’t wait to give it to my mum soon. Thanks for looking
Perfect. I love this pattern with the diagonal zipper. And fun too.
Oooohhhh! It’s beautiful!
That’s awesome! I love the fabrics, and the pouch design is really clever.
That came out so cute! I’m sure your mum will love it.
Ooooo! This is so nice looking! I love all the fabric choices and that little contrasting binding on the inside is a nice little secret treat.
Oh, I love the bunny fabric!!!
What a fun bag! And the fabric is so nice!
Love this fabric and this pouch is so perfect!
This is why we have stash fabric, for perfect projects like this! It turned out great. I love the design, and you executed it perfectly. The quilting looks great too!
Super fun! Great fabric choices.
Fun pouch design, & such good fabric choices! (I keep looking at the green bunnies and wondering why they’re green & why it works so well… )
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Those fabrics just sing together! I love the shape of the bag!!!
I like the diagonal opening. It makes the pouch unusual & quirky. The bunny fabric is adorable! Well done.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments
