Upholstery fabric mushroom

I made this for @gozer for the ongoing Christmas ornament swap. I recently received a HUGE box of upholstery samples and decided they were the perfect fabrics for a mushroom. Credit to gozer for the photos. I didn’t snap any before I shipped.

I love the textures you achieved. I would never have thought to use upholstery fabric, but it works so well!

Those samples are perfect for the mushrooms. I love mine so much. You added such beautiful details with the metallic thread and beads.

That mushroom is amazing! So many great details! Also, I feel like I have one of those exact upholstery samples; bought at a clearing house for home dec stuff years ago.

This turned out PERFECT! I particularly like the fringe. And I’m jealous of your box of upholstery samples.

I never would have guessed you made the mushroom out of upholstery samples. I love how you turned them into something so competely new and different from their original purpose. You have a great eye for which pieces would work well with this mushroomand the beads on top are the perfect finishing touch!

Awww…thank you @TheMistressT.

@AudiobookLover I have been eyeing this box for over ten years before it was gifted to me. I’ve had plenty of time to think about how to put fabrics together.

@Bunny1kenobi I am up for a personal swap. I would love to share my abundance!
