US Use What You Have Swap - Gallery

I received a surprisingly large box from @artsycandice! Turns out she fulfilled the swap requirements of a Small USPS flat rate box, but then sent it inside a bigger box with more padding for her beautiful ceramics! :joy:

Inside there was so much goodness. Starting with three teeny tiny little plates! They are seriously perfect for a dollhouse or a real live fairy. The biggest is just the size of a quarter!

A Trio of amazing owl pendants! I can’t wait to turn these into jewelry pieces. Each has a hole through the top of the head, with a nice wide hole for stringing through.

Second pic to show the hole placement…

To continue with the jewelry fun, three awesome little pieces: A skull pendant (anyone else thinking about the Goonies ‘Play the Bones’ key pendant???), an anatomical heart pendant, and a moon & star pin.

Next I found an amazing little owl egg shaker! With a face on one side, and just a hint of swirling pattern…

…which continues around the back!

A beautiful owl face! It’s about the size of my palm. This 80’s child is in heaven, with the Jim Henson’s Labyrinth owl vibes of it. I’m not sure if this is going in my skinny kitchen gallery, or into my guest room (aka the Abbeeroad Room), which we walk through constantly going from one end of the house to another… It needs to be seen all the time AND appreciated by visitors!

Finally I found this stunning anatomical heart. I didn’t get a shot of something for scale, but it’s pretty big. Bigger than my hand for certain. I think this one is either going in my studio for inspiration, or in our library, which has some of our favorite collected treasures.

@artsycandice, thank you so much for such an amazing package, and for such an inspiring swap! Every single piece will be treasured and adored.

Such a fabulous package filled with ceramic goodies!

While I do love the owls, the texture on that heart is wow! :star_struck:

I just knew if I sent it without extra padding, it wasn’t all going to make it to you unharmed. So… I did what I had to do. lol
A note about the heart… I decided to leave the little clasps on the chain so you could more easily customize it. After seeing all the dangly bits and baubles you put on the art you sent to me, I know you can add some lovely, fun extras to the heart. It will be a collaboration. I love the little pins and pendants, and the skeleton key, because they can be fun additions to other art, and not just used as jewelry. I think it would be neat to see some of them on a mixed media piece of some kind down the road. I will keep my eye out in case you decide to do that with any of them. <3 The large heart was my first inspiration. When you said that you like my hearts with chains, I had to come up with something that would fit in that little box. lol. Thank you for swapping with me. This was a lot of fun.

I received from @geekgirl over the weekend and it’s amazing!!!

I’m going to start with my favorite thing. I. Am. Obsessed.

I mean LOOK at this gorgeous texture!

I’m in love.

But there was more to love! This amazing collages art piece that will find the perfect home on my walls:

I think those white triangles are my favorite detail.

Carlee also sent the coolest little tag book complete with art prompts (and some blank ones at the end):

A fave:

Carlee also sent me TWO! sets of cards:

This set will be hard to send out!

Thoughtful as always, even my girls got the special treatment!

These envelopes were full of fun stickers the girls have already started sticking. AND! They each got super cute necklaces!

Ruby: “How did she know I love the beach!”

Lastly, I got some awesome collage pages I can’t wait to dig into! And I had to include the cool “card” art that I’m totally going to hang up somewhere:

Thanks so much Carlee!! Im in love with everything. :star_struck:

I received from @endymion and was going to post photos yesterday, but the photos turned out horribly. I went outside this morning and took them on my pollen covered grill (which we had just cleaned last weekend). Trust me, it’s still better than the ones I tried to take inside.

We decided to exchange friendship flags and this is the majesty that I received. I’m soooooo lucky and spoiled and happy and in love!

A photo of the back:

This absolutely amazing bag charm! I love the summery colors!!!

I asked for one of her awesome fabric wrap bracelets and she sent TWO One in a gorgeous multicolor and one in black and white! I LOVE them.

The most amazing name art which says “LEANN”

Extras! Stickers, washi tape, and a cool vintage postcard.

@endymion, awesome friendship flag! I love the dynamic feel of movement you achieved with the rays of the heart, and the charms at the hem. And of course I love the LC critter on the back!

I have tried to do this style and never pulled it off to my own satisfaction. You totally nailed it. I would love to see what you can do with more real estate.

Right?!
