Use it or lose it! A sharing and caring gift-along

Before we moved across Canada, my SIL gave me hundreds of DMC colours and I finally have them combined with my own stash. Now I have duplicates and looking to share them.

Please PM me which colours you’d like, I’ll send world wide as they are light and will go letter mail.

Some are in the original packaging and others wrapped on plastic/cardboard thingies …

I want all of that. Seriously, I am in love with embroidery thread the way some crafters are wild for yarn. I may have a problem, lol.

I could use browns if you have any…I don’t care about the numbers.

You do NOT have a problem!! I will swear to that!!

I’m an expert on this, so I know!!

4 drawers in the left hand cabinet is all floss (and there is another drawer which is all thread that I use for embroidery)

I barely have one floss box and recently got another one so I can start numbering…I tend to just pick colors I like but some of my patterns have such nuances in shades that I need the numbers now!

I love that cabinet!! I would dearly like another!
Whenever I watch some British historically based show there would always be scenes in which there were amazing storage cabinets! I used to make my husband laugh. He’d be paying attention to the story/dialog and I would say “Cabinets”!! hehehe

I found some, nevermind the below

I have a request, does anybody have an out-of-service car seat? I need the super strong webbing. You can’t really buy the same quality stuff.

Are there car dismantlers near you ( we call them car breakers) go there and ask them for some old seatbelts. They can’t sell them, so they should be happy to give them to you for very little money.

It’s got to be thin, seat belt is twice the width I need. Child car seat is just the thing, I scavenged ours many years ago. Truly industrial strength stuff.

Have you tried eBay??

I don’t want to purchase it, I’d much rather recycle trash. Kid car seats can’t be resold here & their safety rating expires after a couple years. The whole plastic thing becomes garbage but the straps are still useful.

I traded ours in when target did a recycle old ones for a coupon towards other new kid stuff promo but i’ll keep my eye out

I found a leash at the dollar store for under 2 bucks, doubled up it’s good enough.

It’s to attach the dog safety seat belt thingy to the harness so she can move a little in the car but still be very securely in the middle of the back seat. Extra bonus, she can’t leap from the door & escape when we open it to get her out.

A car hammock for dogs is also very helpful! We have one folded back a bit, taking up 2/3 of the backseat for Astrid, and the other 1/3 for Ada’s car seat.
