You’ll find some of us post lots (and lots!) and others post less or just enjoy looking at what other people post.
One suggestion I’d make, if you wanted to make a different post for each of these projects, put an explanation of the process rather than just saying what it is. Believe me, people will ask about it if you don’t, so save yourself from that by giving details, progress photos are always nice too.
Glad you guys like these. Regarding the process - idk how in depth a how-to would be interesting to read. Starting with the last one -
the winged dude/robot. It was a stencil I designed on computer, then 3d printed and sprayed onto fibre board, then finished using white acrylic paint marker.
The puppy started as fibre board that I used as a palette for another piece - I then painted the board black (acrylic) and scratched the design in to expose the colors underneath (I’m told that the process is called “scrafitto”)
The circuit diagram - I just took an old sticker I designed and had printed, applied it to the aluminum circuit diagram plate and cut out pieces of it with exactoknife
The copper plate skull was designed digitally, I then printed it on transfer film, applied it to the copper plate and submerged the plate in ferric chloride to etch the pattern. This is a very messy and frustrating process btw - I won’t be using it again
Awesome selection of techniques! I love the use of the aluminum circuit diagram as a base for your art!
