Thanks! I wanted something other than brown or black - a bit too drab for this project. Red tied together the color of the little notebook and most of the ephemera I had gathered from my stash while still being muted enough of a color to keep with that vintage vibe. I only have a few ink pads, and cyan, purple, and green definitely would not have looked right.
