My kids are huge Star wars fans. Along with watching the movies/shows and reading the novels, they have read and re-read the location, vehicle and creature guides. So of course, when I ask what my child wants as an embellishment on a tee shirt, they name a creature I’ve never heard of before. This is my attempt at putting a voorpak on my son’s shirt. The body is hand embroidered on a fuzzy fabric (note to self, stretchy fabric is a terrible choice for applique), and it is machine appliqued onto the shirt using a zig zag stich. I also used the machine to freehand sew the legs and antenna. The eyes are buttons. No one but my kids recognizes it as a Star Wars creature. But I think it looks like a cute little monster in its own right.

This is what I can undercover fandom. It’s the geeky fandom that isn’t so obvious that the casual fan would get. I love it! It turned out amazing. I love that face! And way to spoil your kids with awesomeness.
