Water bottle holders

Our family walks a lot. We also forget to hydrate a lot. Part of the reason we forget to hydrate is that we don’t love carrying our water bottles (and I have zero interest in carrying both my water bottle and my children’s water bottles). So I decided to make water bottle holders in hopes that we will bring our water bottles with us more often if they are easier to carry. I didn’t use a pattern, I just made quilted tubes of fabric and attached straps It took significantly longer than I anticipated, but it is done now. So far, since these have been finished, we have been on three walks. We have yet to remember our water bottles. Maybe tomorrow will be different and we will have a hydrated hike.

These turned out so cool. Maybe stuff the empty bottles in your hiking shoes to help remember?

They are great. I can totally relate to your problem. Maybe I should try making something similar. I often walk for everyday errands and don’t like to carry a purse if I don’t need it. So if I’m out longer than originally planned I often end up buying a bottle of water somewhere and having to carry it the rest of the way.

So cute and so functional, too. You could hang one of them on the doorknob to help you remember to bring them along.

So many great ideas to help us remember to bring these with us on walks. I am happy to report that we did in fact remember them on our walk up to the library yesterday, and they work well! Comfortable to carry, and no children complaining of thirst or handing me a water bottle mid walk!
