Watercolor Bookmarks

I made these bookmarks for the recent Happy Mail swap. They were similar to something my partner had pinned. The backgrounds are watercolor and the trees are acrylic.
I only recently found out that bookmark sleeves are a thing. Super easy way to protect the art work and still have it be usable as a bookmark!

Those are beautiful bookmarks. I like the stark contrast between the watercolors and the black. What did you use for the black trees? And I had no idea there were bookmark sleeves!

You got such a beautiful transition in the colors. Lovely bookmarks.

Looks gorgeous!
Do you have any tutorials or tips for getting colors to blend well? I’m trying to achieve this kind of sky when I do my landscapes but it never turns out just right

Those are beautiful! Makes me want to pick up by watercolors and play.

Congrats! Your Watercolor Bookmarks are one of this week’s featured projects. You are awesome!

I’m no expert but look up the technique “graded wash” for watercolors.

Here’s one link.

Beautiful painting and those sleeves are so neat.
