Done! …ish.
I’m going to block it before weaving in the ends. And I’ll sew the buttons on last. Wow, was this thing a learning experience. But, I’m pretty sure I’m in love with it, flaws and all. Definitely going to give this pattern another go, and do a better job of following directions, lol.
It looks fantastic…Love that it has pockets and that collar is nice at the edges.
Yay!!! I really like that collar!
Thanks! I love it, too. It’s so cozy!
Looks so good and I love that color!
Thank you! The lighting is bad in my room, it’s a bit darker in real life. And it’s so heavy - almost two pounds!
Wow! That IS cozy!
Fabulous!! So well done!!
Thank you!
I’ve started in on a sweater for DS1 for Christmas. It’s just a basic raglan sweater with some stripes. It’s working up so fast!
It looks so good! That blue is a great color!
Thank you! I love it, too. It’s a tonal yarn, not as solid as the red, and has a lot of depth. I wouldn’t mind doing a whole garment in just that blue.
I have started my xmas knitting/crocheting/crafting. Made a pair of socks for my nephew, and now Im working on half-gloves for my mum. She will get a pair that is grey and a dark blue/green-ish (I have totally forgotten what the color is called). And when this pair is finished, I will make a red/grey for her man (not my dad).
I’m working my way through a Hue Shift with self-selected colors that are going to fade from mustard yellow through pinks into purple. This one is worsted, so the squares are going relatively quickly, but it’s still been slow going to knit a heavy blanket during the hot summer! I’m looking forward to cooler days to get more knitting done.
Oh man, it’s gorgeous! I have that pattern saved somewhere, but I doubt I’ll ever get around to it. I’ll just look forward to seeing more progress on yours!!
I’m on my third one, which is frankly astonishing to me. I co-knit one with a friend as a baby blanket, then did a second one for my partners, and decided I really did want one for myself (also spurred on by a great Black Friday yarn sale last year - I think all 10 colors cost me $20??). I love knitting it, but I think I’ll be moving on after this!
That looks supernice!
Your THIRD?!?
AMAZING.
@skrutt - I love the colorwork on the mitts - they look cozy!
The colors in your blanket are lovely, @Jazzybelle.
I needed a palette-cleansing project to break the monotony of my Christmas knitting, so I’m making a slouchy beanie to match my cardigan. Just winging it based on my gauge swatch, using the decrease pattern from the Musselburgh hat.
