What is "Downloaded local copies of images"?

I just made this post here, https://forum.lettucecraft.com/t/the-making-of-a-hawaiian-shirt , and I got a message from “system” about “Downloaded local copies of images”.

Also, since I didn’t want to re-upload the images I had already posted at " Snapshot - What are you working on today? (Part 2), I merely linked the images that were already there. And oddly enough, the first image (the one that was changed) is not clickable now. The other images can be resized, but not that one.

Anyway, just curious about what happened.

The system does that when it detects someone linking an image. Its intent is to prevent someone from using bandwidth from another site (rude) and/or preventing broken images from potentially appearing here later (if that site deletes them at a later time). In your case, you used our own bandwidth, so you can just ignore it. It’s smart, but not smart enough to know you did a good thing and linked from our own image pool. :smile:
