My old journal was getting a bit bulky (/I was itching to do a new one), so here it is! It’s more or less a junk journal by construction, using a library discard I got for $1.
Three signatures of this ‘n’ that – sheet music, book/magazine pages, old calendar bits, junk mail, etc. Removing the dust jacket uglied the inside covers, so I zhuzzed them up with old underpapers. Some interior photos:
Well, my storage is kind of a work in progress . I have some drawer carts from Aldi and mostly sort by category/type – book and magazine pages, masterboards and underpapers, gelli prints and painty papers, etc. The junk mail lives in a basket in the kitchen near where I typically process the mail.

I am going to put a basket in my foyer for junk mail. I get so much and I forget so I toss it into recycle! I have been saving cardboard stuff because I like painting on it, experimenting and such.
Thanks. I am just going to have to plunge in to make a journal. You are an inspirtation!
For me, just doing it and accepting I was going to have to make the mistakes to know what didn’t work for me really helped smooth the way on the first one.
