Wheat and cornflower hoopla

For the Summer in Europe swap we had to make something that represents summer in our country. I’m from Estonia and summers here are golden because we have lots of wheatfields everywhere and in those fields there are blue cornflowers. And since cornflower is also our national flower I think it fit the Estonian summer theme well.

It is really hard to put something big like summer in a craft so I decided to embroider a hoopla for my swap partner @Edel

:upside_down_face:Forgot to add the title to the back of the hoop.

I keep getting back to look at this, I really like the fabric you picked as background. It makes the flowers pop.

Thank you! I always get so nervous when showing someone the things I make. My mom was a crafts teacher and the things she made were amazing so I keep comparing my creations to hers.
